House A

This arrangement started from the desire of the beneficiaries to relocate in a rural area of Transylvania, a smaller village in Mures County, discovered after several searches in the areas adjacent to the city of Targu Mures.

The beneficiaries are a mature couple, inclined towards a slow living, so the relocation meets the desired lifestyle requirements.

The development intentions started with the purchase of a 100-year-old traditional house and a related land, located in the urban area of the village. The house, even though it was initially evaluated as being in good condition, required intensive work for 2 years. These consisted of rehabilitation, restoration of some architectural elements and reconstruction, as well as a new compartmentalization, the disused bridge being completely rebuilt in a habitable variant, accessible through a new staircase positioned on the ground floor and integration in both levels of three bathrooms. .

The rehabilitation followed both the recommendations for the restoration of traditional houses, according to the recommendations in force, as well as the alignment of the arrangement with the authentic zonal values, of local context.

The interior design followed, on the other hand, the incorporation of the contemporary comfort requirement: on the ground floor, an additional underfloor heating system was introduced, compatible both in the technical, constructive and in the conceptual requirement, of coziness-warm space and welcoming, living in slow living. This uncompromising comfort accompanies you in all spaces, by choosing furniture solutions, finishes and lighting fixtures, in the same authentic touch, made of natural materials, local ornamentation and natural colors, for an atmosphere that encourages relaxation and interaction.

The result is an elegant and pacifying mix, between traditional Romanian, Hungarian and Saxon motifs represented essentially, in new and eclectic combinations, of the story.
